David Scott David Scott, Senior Associate, came to Abacus Associates after serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Public Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University. There he oversaw survey research, focus groups and statistical projects for governmental and nonprofit clients. His projects scanned a variety of arenas including transportation and safety, the judiciary, education, and public health.
In his past as an educator and scholar, David examined the relationship between political parties and voters. In addition to conducting numerous research projects in the United States, his political research also focused on Europe and the European Union.
David received his Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina and his B.A. from Hamilton College. He taught courses on political parties, American and West European government, and survey and focus group methodology at the University of North Carolina, Binghamton University and Virginia Commonwealth University. David is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
